But apparently, there's been huge internal interest in doing blogs and wikis for some time. And the business
units built what they needed themselves so they could get started. It was eye-opening. They engaged
an internal intranet team and built what amounts to a blogging platform all by themselves.

Now, we have internal blogs from divisional managing directors, and other very senior people. There are
discussion forums on some of them where people can feed back their thoughts. And, increasingly, we're
seeing Wikis. There is a team who have deployed the code from Wikipedia and are using it for their internal
documentation processes.

We are now working out how we can deploy these tools across the group. Later this year, we will add to
our intranet platform so that anyone can get to blogs and wikis and forums and many of the
other 2.0 technologies.

It will be interesting to see how these new things diffuse through the group, since we're already using them in
the pockets I mentioned.

I'd expect fairly rapid take up.
